Silver sandal miniature "Trochadi" Pendant
"Trochadia" are leather shoes/sandals, extremely durable, which were mostly worn by the shepherds in the Sporades islands, Greece and especially in Skyros.
Later, apart from the skin, the soles consisted of a car tire and so they began to call them "pirellia".
The locals still prefer them today. However, "trochadia" are not only sandals but also jewelery.
Doly Bukoyiannis manufactures handmade artworks with gold, silver or bronze miniature "trochadia".
